Techniques For The Modern Composer Part 2

    P2P | March 15 2017 | 1.62 GB

Master the Art of Composing For Film and Learn To Find Gigs Doing It In this course, we will learn the essential techniques used in writing music for film. Through a series of analysis’ of well-known film scenes from your favorite movies we will learn what makes a great cue, and then apply those techniques by writing our own. I’ll be showing you some of my own projects for film and television throughout the class, and walk you through my process when composing music for a film project. By the end of this course, students will understand the tools, lingo, and techniques used in the film composing world and will be ready to dive in to their own projects. I’ll walk you through how to get started on your first project by using freely available movies that need a score. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with major American orchestras, film studios, and video game designers. I’m also a PhD in music composition and a university professor (of music composition).

      INTRODUCING A NEW BENCHMARK.

Featuring Nashville’s finest string players at Ocean Way Studios — a world class scoring environment — we dedicated over two years to capturing the expressive performances of the incredible musicians we worked with. Using performance-based sampling techniques, we were able to preserve the subtle details and expressiveness found in real live recordings, all while maintaining the sense of depth found in the room. Every note was analyzed in real time during the sessions to make sure we maintained timbrel consistency. All of the short articulations were sourced from repetition-based performances to maximize fluidity and connectivity. Legato transitions were sampled from musical phrases to translate a level of expression resembling that of a real piece of music. Every aspect of this library was treated with utmost attention to detail and the results are unparalleled.

                Iron Throne 2.0 KONTAKT

                FLARE | 22 Nov 2020 | 719 MB

Iron Throne is a very, very eerie and dark collection of metallic percussive and semimelodic effects, ideal for use in horror and suspense scoring, sound design, trailer effects and post production, experimental and ambient music, or anything else you can think to do with it. The origins of the strange creation/discovery will remain a forbidden secret – even though we had a contest where over 130 people tried to guess its origins. What we can tell you is that we beat and played the hell out of it… or in to it, depending on how you look at it. We used bows, mallets, metal rods, rubber balls, fingers, fists, drum sticks, nylon, metal brushes, rasps and files, water and earth to lift all manner of demon song from this contraption.
